Is it that hard to figure out? By restricting the things that people who get enemied to everywhere have access to, it makes the game harder for them to play. I expect they hope this will cut down on griefers in general. It's probably the same reason why you can't learn if you don't have a guild. It means people can't be an all out asshole and generally have to behave themselves to some extent because they'll be held accountable to a third of the game's population.
My theory is that griefers will get transed and become enemied everywhere anyway because noone really cares all that much about having access to a newsroom.
So you're saying that they're doing it to stop people from doing something that they'll do anyways.
Ok?
That doesn't do someone in my position or someone with other similar RP any good; I'm perpetually enemied to SSG and will be until such time as about half the council is replaced. A number of the council members have expressed their belief that I should be
griefed and ganked until I
quit the game.I obviously can't get unenemied to Krondor, and Elvandar wouldn't let me use their newsroom even if I wasn't enemied (as I suspect 'i want to post' is not a valid reason for humans to enter their territory, given how nutty isolationist they are)
Unless about a dozen people quit the game I'll never have access to a newsroom again, meaning I can't participate in my order, make public posts, etc.
Silantios: Do you feel this is an appropriate situation and if so, why.
Edit: For the record I was really hoping to avoid making this topic about me, because I think there's plenty of reason for a public newsroom on the merits of allowing rogues to do their thing, but since Maithe decided to make it about me let's go ahead and make it about me.
